- Counseling
NYFS mental health staff offer counseling services for individuals in
need of help coping with depression, anxiety, loss, anger, low self
esteem and many other difficulties. Individual and joint couples
counseling services are also available.
- Parenting Classes
Throughout the year, mental health staff offer classes on a range of
parenting topics including parenting through and after divorce, coping
with adolescents and parenting youth with Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). For more information about services
available to parents, click here.
- Senior Chore
Through this intergenerational work program, youth are matched with
local senior citizens in need of basic chore services such as house
cleaning, snow shoveling and yard work. The youth gains valuable work
experience while the senior citizen is allowed to live independently in
their own home. Depending on income services are offered on a low-cost,
subsidized or free basis.
