Day Treatment (NETS)
Day Treatment Program: Northeast Therapeutic Services (NETS)
NYFS offers on-site therapeutic support to middle and high school youth who are struggling with mental health symptoms that negatively affect their daily functioning. Educational services are also available. Group settings are small to maintain safe social distancing protocols and telehealth options are available for youth who are temporarily unable to participate in person.
The NETS program includes:

Up to eight middle school youth enrolled in an in-person, half or full day program with education services at NYFS’ Shoreview office Monday through Friday.

Up to eight high school youth enrolled in an in-person, half or full day program with education services at NYFS’ Shoreview office Monday through Friday.

The incorporation of current and emerging best practices designed to curb the spread of Covid-19. Two NETS staff members will remain with students at all times to ensure effective delivery of programming while also maintaining COVID safety protocols. Personal protective equipment is available for students and staff. Acceptance of these protocols is a prerequisite to participating in the program.
NYFS is now accepting referrals for new clients. Day Treatment services may be covered by private insurance, Medical Assistance or TEFRA (Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act). Families may have a co-pay with their private insurance. Educational services are included free of charge through the Mounds View School District to maintain academic progress but can be declined by a parent or guardian.
