Day Treatment (NETS)
Day Treatment Program: Northeast Therapeutic Services (NETS)
NYFS is pleased to announce the resumption of our NETS Day Treatment program.
Due to COVID-19 constraints, NYFS temporarily suspended the program in July in order to reimagine and relaunch it in a manner that was effective, safe and sustainable for youth and staff. NYFS continues to offer alternative online and in-person support services to NETS youth and families during this transitional time.
Programming has resumed and includes on-site, half-day therapeutic support to middle and high school youth who are struggling with mental health symptoms that negatively affect their daily functioning. Group settings will be smaller to maintain safe social distancing protocols. Telehealth options will remain available for youth who are unable to participate in person temporarily. The redesigned NETS program will include:
Up to eight middle school youth enrolled in an in-person, three-hour program at NYFS’ Shoreview office Monday through Thursday mornings. Friday sessions will be conducted online during this same time period.
Up to eight high school youth enrolled in an in-person three-hour program at NYFS’ Shoreview office Monday through Thursday afternoons. Friday sessions will be conducted online during this same time period.
The incorporation of current and emerging best practices designed to curb the spread of COVID. Two NETS staff members will remain with students at all times to ensure effective delivery of programming while also maintaining COVID safety protocols. Personal protective equipment is available for students and staff. Acceptance of these protocols is a prerequisite to participating in the program.
NYFS is now accepting referrals for new clients. Day Treatment services may be covered by private insurance, Medical Assistance or TEFRA (Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act). Families may have a co-pay with their private insurance. Please contact Dawn Leslie at 651.379.3406 or email@example.com for more information about the enrollment process and help with insurance options.
